Privacy Policy
Hair Care Routine Tracker ("we", "our", or "the app") helps you build hair-care routines, track daily habits with local reminders, and log hairline photos for cosmetic/wellness tracking. This policy explains what information is processed when you use the app and how we protect it.
1. Information we process
Hairline and progress photos. Photos you capture are stored on your device. When you request an AI plan or progress rating, selected photos may be sent transiently over HTTPS to our Cloudflare Worker so a vision model can analyze them. Photos are not stored server-side after the request completes.
Questionnaire and routine data. Hair type, porosity, concerns, products, treatments, checklists, journal notes, and shelf items are stored locally on your iPhone using SwiftData.
Anonymous device identifier. A random UUID stored on your device (Keychain/UserDefaults) is used to enforce the free AI-plan limit and link your App Store subscription. It is not your name, email, or Apple ID.
Purchase information. Subscriptions are processed by Apple and RevenueCat. We receive entitlement status only — not your full payment card details.
2. What we do not do
- We do not store your hairline or progress photos on our servers
- We do not sell your personal data
- We do not provide medical diagnoses — AI insights are cosmetic/wellness tracking only
- We do not require an account or social login
3. AI processing
Profile answers and (when you choose) photos are sent over HTTPS to our backend, which forwards a processing request to a third-party AI service (via OpenRouter). The request includes only the content needed to produce a plan or progress summary and your anonymous device ID for rate limiting. Images are not retained on our servers after the request completes.
4. Camera & notifications
Photo capture uses your camera. Camera access is requested when you capture hairline photos and can be revoked in iOS Settings. Reminders use local notifications on your device and do not require a server.
5. Data retention
Server-side rate-limit counters are stored temporarily in Cloudflare KV and linked only to your anonymous device ID. Local history, photos, and routines remain on your device until you delete them or uninstall the app.
6. Children's privacy
The app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
7. Changes
We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date above will change when we do.
